She graduated in Biochemistry at the University of Navarra, Spain where she later completed her PhD in 2006. After that, she joined the Molecular Oncology Laboratory at the Center for Applied Medical Research-CIMA, Spain where she started working on functional genomic analysis of the B-cell lymphomas using high-throughput genomic techniques and on the development of animal models to study MALT lymphoma.

Her research is focused on the screening of inhibitor drugs of the paracaspase activity of MALT1 and the study of biomarkers of response and mechanisms of innate and acquired resistance to MALT1 inhibitors.
