• Francine Garett-Bakelman, MD PhD

Fran received her B.Sc. degree in Biochemistry from California State University at Fullerton, and her M.Sc., M.D. and Ph.D. in Cell Biology degrees from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYPH-WCMC). She started her postdoctoral training in Dr. Melnick's lab in 2008.

Fran works on functional studies in DLBCLs using SiRNA techniques as well as epigenetic studies in Myeloid disorders. Her current work, supported by the Sass Foundation (Judah Folkman Fellowship).
